Cannot get AliceTalker to connect

I am no expert at this stuff but i've followed all the instructions and AliceTalker keeps saying it cannot read the 2001 port or any other. After i've altered the chat.html in programD and set it running, i fire up AliceTalker and hit 'connect', then it tells me 'failed to connect'. However, my ProgramD displys 'HTTP server listening at http://D651ZM0J:2001' so i'm at a loss.
I have also tried the non-http way and still no joy. I am using WindowsXP, 2.53Ghz processor, 256MB ram, have the SAPI (already installed) and JRE 1.3
Any help is appreciated!
