Quick Update - in case it helps others

Yes it was connected - install failed completely. Tried running an update which installed some Eclipse stuff then installed Jigloo again. This time it appeared to work but got jdt? clear cache errors on start up and a bunch of eclipse.ui plus some others errors when I tried to do anything. Also the GUIForm editor wasn't working quite right - JFrame created in code but not showing up in editor. Ran another update - this time updating pretty much everything regardless of how relevant it might be. Got another cache error warning on shutdown but now editor appears to be working. Fingers crossed.

Basically if you're having trouble like this - keep updating and restarting til it either works or you get fed up and try something else.
